Composite Gestures identity graphics for Tenure and Promotion Exhibition for Design faculty members Jason Germany (ID), Axel Roesler (IxD) and me (VCD). Held in the Jacob Lawrence Gallery in the UW School of Art + Art History + Design in Autumn 2019. Photo by Mark Woods.

Composite Gestures Exhibition Poster, 40x60 inches. The letterforms C and G are loosely inspired by a Bauhaus typeface. Images from faculty members are masked into the letterforms.

Composite Gestures identity graphics, detail. Images from each faculty member were printed on top of one another on black paper. Each sheet went through the laser printer three times, one per image. Each page was then adhered to MDF board and laser cut—one letter per board. The random layering of images and laser cuts result in "composite" happy accidents.
